From time to time, Rights Report Philippines uses AI tools and systems, such as the research tool NotebookLM or Claude, to extract information such as summaries and other data from long and complicated documents. These tools are valuable, especially for an under-funded, nonprofit media outfit like ours.

We recognize, however, the limitations of these AI systems, among them inaccuracies and “hallucinations.” This is why Rights Report Philippines, as a matter of policy, always verifies, fact-checks, and edits each material we publish, particularly those processed with the help of AI. Rest assured that the same journalistic rigor and discipline that we use in a typical story also applies in our handling of materials that went through AI processes.
